Gelo Community Guidelines
Gelo is a space for creating meaningful connections—whether social, professional, or romantic. To maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone, we require all members to follow these community guidelines. By using Gelo, you agree to:
1. Be Respectful and Kind
Treat everyone with respect.
Harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior—whether verbal, written, or visual—will not be tolerated.
Avoid making inappropriate or offensive comments based on race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal trait.
2. Practice Authenticity
Your profile must represent your true identity. Using fake names, impersonating others, or misrepresenting your age, occupation, or intentions is not allowed.
Ensure your photos and bio are genuine and appropriate. Explicit content, nudity, or violent imagery is strictly prohibited.
3. Foster a Safe Space
Hate speech, threats, and discriminatory language are strictly prohibited.
Do not engage in spamming, solicitation, or phishing activities.
4. Uphold Legal and Ethical Standards
Any activity promoting or involving illegal behavior—such as drug use, human trafficking, copyright violations, or financial fraud—is strictly prohibited. .
Respect the rights of others, including intellectual property rights, and never post or share anything you do not own or have permission to share.
5. Take Responsibility for Safety
Always prioritize your safety while interacting with others.
6. Report Violations Promptly
If you come across inappropriate content, fraudulent accounts, or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it directly through the app or contact us at support@geloapp.com.
We investigate all reports thoroughly and may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate our policies.
Child Sexual Exploitation & Abuse
We don’t allow content that sexualizes or endangers children, real or fictional (e.g. anime, digital images, media, text, illustrations). This includes any visual depictions, sharing third party links, or discussions of sexually explicit conduct involving a child. It’s prohibited to upload, store, produce, share, or entice anyone to share child sexual abuse material (CSAM), even if the intent is to express outrage or raise awareness about this issue.
We understand that members might want to talk about and share images of their children with their connections. Any discussions about children must remain appropriate, relevant, and lawful. In addition, if you decide to include photos of children in your profile, they must be completely clothed and they cannot appear alone in the image. This includes any photos from your childhood.
Uploading profile photos featuring babies’, toddlers’, or children’s genitalia or buttocks—whether uncovered, partially covered, or obscured with emojis—is strictly prohibited. Any such images identified during the onboarding process will be considered a violation of our guidelines and will result in the rejection of the profile.
Any violation of this policy will result in a member being removed from the app and reported to the authorities. In compliance with Indian law, if we become aware of apparent child sexual exploitation, child grooming, or child abuse, we will report it to National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). NCPCR may make the report available to relevant local and global law enforcement authorities.
Compliance and Reporting
Gelo complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the platform and/or escalation to law enforcement and child protection authorities as required.
If you come across any content or behavior violating CSAE guidelines. Report it immediately through our in-app reporting feature or contact us directly on support@geloapp.com.
Consequences of Violations
Violating these guidelines will lead to removal from the app and potential reporting to authorities.
Warnings, temporary account suspension, or permanent account bans.
Reporting of serious violations to law enforcement or relevant authorities.
